SLAP Design Studio is a branding and packaging design studio for the food and beverage industry, based in Düsseldorf, Germany.
We design labels, packaging and brand identities, and we build websites and online stores, for food and drink brands across the world.
One industry, on purpose
Most agencies serve every sector. We chose one. Specialising in food and beverage is the advantage: we already know the shelf, the buyers and the regulations, so the work is faster and more distinctive than a generalist can be on the same brief. We design for brands that care about honest products, and we want to give the food and beverage industry a push.
The gap we work in
EU food and drink packaging is weak by international comparison. Most products compete on price and blend into the shelf. Companies tend to be cautious about standing out or building a community around a product. That gap is the opportunity, especially for startups and small brands willing to invest in design, story and community.

How the studio works
What startet as a side project is now a small, remote team. Work is productized where it can be: fixed-price label and website packages help us deliver consistent quality, and larger packaging and identity projects are quoted per brief. Every project runs the same five steps: onboarding questionnaire, kickoff call, concept and decision, production, delivery. Regular updates, no unnecessary meetings.
