Branding
Brand identity for food and beverage companies
SLAP Design Studio builds brand identities for food and beverage companies.
Strategy, naming, logo, and the identity system that runs across packaging, the website and every touchpoint. This is the foundation the rest of the work is built on. It is quote-based.
Our Services:
Branding
What a brand identity or redesign project can cover
Naming a Product
Naming is one of the most important marketing levers and an important part of brand identity work. A naming engagement produces a shortlist of name candidates, a linguistic and plain-meaning check across your target markets, and a handoff for a trademark screen with your lawyer. It can run on its own or inside a full identity project.
Design and Rebranding
In low-involvement categories, buyers pattern-match against remembered shapes and colours in under a second. A dramatic redesign of a brand with strong existing equity can make the product invisible on the shelf. We weigh how much recognisable equity you actually have. A brand with little distinctive equity can move boldly at low risk. A brand with an iconic asset should evolve it, not delete it. Either way we validate against current buyers before a big move.
Matching to a new Audience
Often your product quality is not the bottleneck, your packaging is. Premium stores, curated retail listings and startup incubators expect design-forward, distinctive brands. Weak, generic packaging signals “not ready” to the buyers who gatekeep those channels. If you want access to premium or curated retail and your current identity looks generic, the identity work is the qualifier, not decoration.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, and often you should. A label or a single packaging project gets a product moving now, and it gives us both a real sense of how we work together before you commit to the foundational work. Identity work is sharper once there is a live product to point at.
No. Giving shape to something you can feel but not yet describe is the job. The strategy stage exists for exactly this, and we present concrete directions to react to rather than asking you to specify an outcome from a blank page. Most clients work out what they want by seeing what they do not.
Because the scope genuinely varies. A single-product founder needs a name, a logo, and a basic system. A brand with several lines and a retail push needs strategy, architecture, and a full guideline set. We scope it with you first, then the price is fixed.
